Garret, Master Stylist/Educational Director

Garret has been fascinated by the continual evolution of the salon industry since he began his career as a hairstylist in 1997.  He held his first position at internationally-renowned Toni and Guy Hairdressing in Southern California.  Driven by a continuous desire for self-improvement and a strong work ethic, he excelled quickly and was appointed Salon Educational Director and an Advanced Academy Instructor.  At Toni and Guy, the opportunity to educate and mentor assistants and stylists became one of his greatest passions.  After his five year stint in Orange County, he moved to Beverly Hills to work at Gavert Atelier and then, Tom Brophy salon as a Stylist and Educator.  Since 2004, Garret has traveled throughout North America, conducting haircutting seminars and working as a platform artist with hair care company, KMS California.

After building a name for himself in Los Angeles, Garret moved to San Francisco in 2008, to join Vim and Vigor to help create a unique salon environment with unparalleled customer service and an exceptional hair experience, leveraging the highly technical hairstyling skills of each stylist. Garret has helped Vim and Vigor become a well-respected salon in the Bay Area.

As one of the most sought after hairstylists in California, Garret has clients who travel to Vim and Vigor from all over the country to experience his distinct, creative, and detailed haircuts.  He has been featured in multiple salon and beauty industry publications and was named “The Every Woman’s Stylist,” in San Francisco Magazine’s highly-regarded, “Best of San Francisco” issue. Garret has cemented himself as a top talent who can work with all hair types and textures to achieve its maximum potential, suitable for each individual.  Garret specializes in giving his clients hairstyles that are personalized, versatile, and low maintenance.
